Overview

Candidates must be located in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The selected individual will oversee, organize, and execute physical security technology initiatives, including system installations, services, and transitions. Responsibilities include ensuring proper setup and functioning of security applications and hardware, managing service requests, conducting quality assurance reviews, and assisting both customers and staff in resolving security-related technical challenges. The role will involve collaboration with internal teams and external vendors, requiring a blend of technical and project management expertise. Successful candidates will utilize their knowledge, analytical skills, and judgment to address urgent physical security situations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of physical security projects, including the organization of security hardware and software, system transitions, and installations. Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines and objectives. Communicate effectively with third-party integrators and project managers to ensure accurate and timely installations.
  • Ensure that physical security systems are operational and maintained according to corporate standards. Responsible for diagnosing and resolving electronic security system issues, engaging IT resources and external vendors as necessary. Prioritize and manage service requests effectively, providing direct support to security integrators to resolve complex system failures.
  • Conduct product research, obtain pricing and proposals, and monitor project budgets. Review vendor proposals and make recommendations regarding expenditures to management.
  • Oversee and coordinate physical security operations, including vendor-managed guarding services, daily operations, and incident reporting. Monitor and respond to critical incidents such as theft and workplace safety issues, often making immediate decisions independently.
  • Update policies and procedures, manage system life cycles, and oversee product replacements. Conduct quality control reviews, including risk assessments and verification checks.
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation, monitoring and addressing after-hours incidents as needed, often in urgent situations.
Qualifications

Education

Associate Degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice or information technology is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years in physical security systems management and project oversight is required.
Certifications

Preferred certifications include AAP or PSP.

Other Duties as Assigned by Manager

This position may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management. All employees are expected to understand and comply with all company policies, regulations, and compliance training requirements. This includes recognizing compliance risks and escalating them appropriately.
