Position Purpose:


Oversees, organizes, and directs the daily operations, maintenance, and testing of a processing system, small to medium industrial facilities with NPDES permits, public works systems, or multiple sites.

Ensures adherence to established environmental, safety, operational standards, policies, and emergency response procedures. Maintains ongoing client communication to keep clients informed and enhance relationships.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Must possess a Georgia Class 1 Wastewater license.

  • Directs daily operations and maintenance while ensuring compliance with operational, QA/QC, safety, environmental, and performance metrics. Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, and/or Lab Supervisors to optimize plant resources for project objectives. Provides guidance on cost control and effective counsel, particularly in situations requiring corrective actions.
  • Oversees human resource functions of the facility or unit, including hiring, termination, salary adjustments, and coaching team members. Partners with EHS and training teams to guarantee that all personnel receive safety and process training. Mentors supervisors and leads to enhance technical skills and interpersonal, supervisory, and problem-solving abilities.
Identifies and provides opportunities for team members to acquire new skills and techniques.

  • Reviews and assesses water reports, records, logs, and graphs to verify the adequacy of current and anticipated water needs. Ensures uniform monitoring and recordkeeping across the facility. Prepares reports related to chemical and bacteriological analyses of water for administrative and regulatory purposes.
  • Manages client contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction, including timely identification and notification of scope changes. Handles all baseline client relations duties, including preparation and presentation of progress and special reports. Participates in client meetings and special award programs, addressing client service issues professionally. Assists in the preparation and/or review of reports for regulatory agencies and supports public relations efforts as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Area Manager to develop site objectives and assists managers and supervisors in establishing goals and activities to meet overall business objectives. Sets standards, guidelines, and objective measures to monitor progress. Implements process improvements, new concepts, technologies, and practices.
  • Evaluates employee performance, aligns abilities with job requirements, and leverages talents to effectively achieve business objectives. Ensures that business initiatives and progress toward goals are communicated effectively to employees.
  • Proactively manages safety, plant appearance, and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with Federal and State standards, including Hazardous Waste Disposal and Air Quality Standards. Identifies and addresses issues promptly, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintains an up-to-date action plan for emergencies such as equipment or power failures. Manages emergencies effectively.
