Key Responsibilities:

Education Specialist:


Designs, organizes, executes, and assesses educational initiatives tailored to the identified needs of learners and the organization, focusing on both initial and ongoing competencies, educational programs, and professional growth.

Employs diverse methodologies to apply adult learning principles for optimal outcomes.

Consultative Role:
Acts as an educational consultant to various facilities, task forces, committees, and initiatives related to policy, procedure, and program development.

Addresses regulatory requirements and identified needs to enhance quality patient care and safety.

Research Integration:
Engages in the incorporation of research into practical applications.

Analyzes, communicates, and integrates research findings into program development and staff training.

Facilitation:


Guides the adult learning experience; organizes educational activities by identifying and recruiting both internal and external resources for employed or external learners.


Change Leadership:


Responds to evolving nursing practices and formulates programs that align with the organization's mission, values, and objectives to support these changes and foster a safe and healthy work environment.


Team Leadership:
Directs committees, workgroups, and/or projects to implement educational initiatives and cultivates collaborative relationships among team members.

Special Initiatives:
Collaborates on special projects that support the strategic plan of the organization.

Participates in committees, task forces, and projects assigned to clinical education.

Responsibilities:

Online Learning System:

Works with Education Specialists to ensure the effective utilization of the learning system to enhance education and manage the system database for tracking learning activities and compliance.

Other duties as assigned. Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and following instructions in English.

Supervisory Duties:
Engages in orientation, workshops, or programs.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years in clinical nursing with at least 2 years in ambulatory nursing is essential. A minimum of 2 years in clinical education, staff development, or teaching is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure:
Current nursing license and BLS certification are required.
