We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ambulatory Care Nurse to join our team at NYULMC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing staff in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and develop individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care and satisfaction.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ambulatory care nursing, with a focus on leadership and patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and quality improvement principles.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Experience in a leadership role, with a focus on nursing staff development and management.
- Certification in a relevant specialty, such as ambulatory care or leadership.
