Overview
ACL Digital is in search of a seasoned Reliability & Maintainability Systems Engineer to join our Fleet Reliability & Analysis Team. This role involves engaging in critical R&M tasks, including Predictions, Failure Mode & Effect Analyses, and Engineering Investigations.
Key Competencies Required:
Experience with aviation systems
Proficiency in Weibull analysis, Fault Tree analysis, and trending analysis
Skilled in Excel & PowerPoint for effective presentations
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct failure analyses to propose operational, maintenance, and process modifications aimed at enhancing the reliability, availability, and longevity of aviation systems.
- Review and rectify maintenance data and aircraft performance metrics.
- Analyze field maintenance and failure data to monitor and evaluate R&M performance.
- Perform High Driver Analysis, Re-Test-OK (RTOK), and Can Not Duplicate (CND) Analysis.
- Engage in trending analysis to suggest improvements in maintenance, operations, or processes to boost aircraft systems' reliability and maintainability.
- Execute reliability processes that include data collection, metric development, and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Provisioning, and Asset Management to conduct Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Maintenance Steering Group (MSG-3) analyses.
- Utilize a collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify comprehensive system solutions.
- Assess customer and operational requirements to define and align system performance criteria, ensuring compatibility across all interfaces.
- Conduct various analyses to optimize the overall system architecture.
- Evaluate factors such as affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance to ensure mission success.
- Develop and oversee requirements management processes, risk assessments, and technology readiness evaluations.
- Participate in addressing cross-functional technical challenges.
- Create analytical methods to assess the reliability of components and processes.
- Prepare detailed diagrams, charts, and reports to identify reliability issues and recommend enhancements.
- Conduct failure analyses to recommend operational, maintenance, and process adjustments to maximize aircraft systems' reliability and availability.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability analyses, including mission reliability parameters and mean time between failures.
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering schematics and diagrams.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MySQL/PL SQL/ORACLE.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Air Force's G081 system is advantageous.
Education / Experience:
A Bachelor's degree with typically 5 or more years of experience in an engineering role, or a Master's degree with 3 or more years of experience, or a PhD with relevant experience in an engineering capacity.
