Position Overview

Volt is currently seeking a Senior Systems Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a full-time contract position focused on enhancing the reliability and performance of aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth failure analyses to propose operational, maintenance, and procedural modifications aimed at maximizing the reliability, availability, and lifespan of aircraft systems.
  • Review and rectify maintenance data and aircraft status records.
  • Analyze field maintenance and failure data, tracking and assessing reliability and maintainability (R&M) performance metrics.
  • Monitor and evaluate R&M performance, including High Driver Analysis, Re-Test-OK (RTOK), and Can Not Duplicate (CND) Analysis.
  • Perform trending analyses and recommend maintenance or operational changes to enhance aircraft systems reliability and maintainability.
  • Engage in reliability processes, including data collection, metric development, and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Provisioning, and Asset Management teams to execute Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Maintenance Steering Group (MSG-3) analyses on existing and modified systems.
  • Utilize an interdisciplinary approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a balanced lifecycle system of systems and solutions.
  • Assess customer and operational requirements to define and coordinate system performance criteria, integrating technical parameters and ensuring compatibility across all interfaces.
  • Conduct various analyses to optimize the overall system architecture.
  • Incorporate factors such as affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and system security into preferred configurations to ensure mission success.
  • Oversee the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, including risk and opportunity management.
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to address technical challenges.
  • Develop analytical methods to evaluate the reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
  • Create diagrams, charts, and reports to identify reliability issues and propose improvements.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability analyses, including mission reliability parameters and mean time between failures.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical engineering schematics and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and database management systems such as MySQL, PL SQL, or ORACLE.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the Air Force's G081 system is advantageous.
Compensation

The pay range for this position is between $60.00 and $68.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
