Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vincentian. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our children.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth.
- Provide care, hygiene, and learning support to children, including maintaining records and ensuring a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Collaborate with supervisory staff to develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of each child and family.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children, including administering first aid and medication as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education.
- Assist in supervising classroom staff and volunteers, and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Lead Teaching Assistant.
Requirements:
- Verified Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent.
- Enrolled in an OCDEL-approved certificate or credential program.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
