Key Responsibilities:- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding appointments, medical records, billing, insurance coverage, and healthcare services.
- Provide guidance and assistance to patients in understanding their healthcare benefits, treatment plans, and medication instructions.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care and resolve issues efficiently.
- Educate patients on available resources, support programs, and community services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance terminology, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records software.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Monday-Friday.
- 40 hours per week.
- 8:30am-5:00pm.
- Onsite.
- 13 week contract with possibility to be extended.
- Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego.
- Compensation $20.00-$22.00 per hour (DOE).
