Job Title: Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – LSE

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to lead the space segment technical team in Dulles, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, coordinating engineering activities, and managing technical baselines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the space segment technical team and coordinate engineering activities
  • Manage technical baselines, requirements, and verification and validation
  • Develop and execute integration and test campaigns
  • Oversee subcontractor technical activities and manage Earned Value Management Systems
  • Prepare and present technical material at major reviews and program meetings
Requirements:
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field with 8 years of experience, or Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • Extensive technical experience in systems engineering and integration of complex systems, including space systems development, manufacture, test, or operations
  • Understanding of spacecraft detailed design, integration, and test
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active or current TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Experience in system architecture and CONOPs development
  • Experience with integration and test of spacecraft systems
  • Experience with various technical tools such as MATLAB, STK, CORE, DOORS, or CAMEO
  • Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management Systems
