Compensation: $35,000 - $38,000 annually

Position Summary

The Community Engagement and Sales Specialist is an inside sales expert who is enthusiastic about promoting the sports and recreational experience with a unique competitive edge. This role is primarily tasked with identifying additional sales opportunities for sports surfaces and securing bookings by effectively managing the facility's surface availability, including contracts, spot rentals, public programs, third-party tournaments, and in-house events.

This position supports the entire sales and community outreach process, from raising awareness and marketing the facility's offerings to introducing the facility to potential clients and maintaining ongoing communication throughout the customer relationship.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, marketing, or recreation (preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sports or recreational setting is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in closing sales.
  • Prior experience in an inside sales role is beneficial.
  • Exceptional listening and customer service skills to provide effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to handle situations with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and database management.
  • Solid understanding of online platforms and social media.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
