About the Role

The Associate Director of Corporate Communications will play a critical role in supporting the development of communication strategies that enhance Vir Biotechnology, Inc.'s reputation, engage stakeholders, and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute strategic communication plans that drive business objectives across various channels, both externally and internally.
  • Partner with colleagues across the company to identify stories that can help increase stakeholder understanding of Vir Biotechnology, Inc. and its mission.
  • Prepare media materials and liaise with traditional and digital media audiences to drive coverage and understanding of Vir updates.
  • Manage social content strategy and development across social media channels, including LinkedIn and X.
  • Oversee the company website to ensure it supports the strategic objectives of the company and helps communicate Vir Biotechnology, Inc.'s core narrative.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and other cross-functional internal teams to develop content for the intranet and support ongoing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, public perception, and media coverage to proactively manage the company's reputation.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of communications or PR experience, including at least one role at a biotech or pharmaceutical company or agency supporting biopharma clients.
  • Experience crafting and implementing successful corporate branding and social media plans.
  • Strong content creation and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with website development tools and activities to improve user web experience.
  • Comfort working with scientific concepts and content.
What We Offer

The expected salary range for this position is $155,500.00 to $227,000.00. Vir Biotechnology, Inc.'s compensation and benefits are aligned with the current market and commensurate with the person's experience and qualifications.

All full-time employees receive a package that includes: compensation, bonus, and equity, as well as many other benefits and perks such as health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits, non-accrual paid time off, company shut down for holidays, commuter benefits, child care reimbursement, education reimbursement, 401K match, and lunch each day in the office.
