Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Construction Loan Administrators, identifying and addressing recurring construction challenges proactively
  • Set clear expectations for Dealers and Retailers throughout the construction process
  • Establish controls to minimize risks associated with extended construction timelines
  • Facilitate coordination and progress meetings to accurately project monthly figures and provide completion estimates for financial planning
  • Analyze trend data to recommend process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date departmental procedures, job aids, and resources for the Construction division
  • Oversee administration and support for construction draws, inspections, and funding processes
  • Ensure thorough reconciliation of construction draws and related invoices upon project completion
  • Communicate effectively with team members, business partners, and borrowers, collaborating with Originations management to ensure timely delivery of sellable loans
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to resolve issues with Dealers and Retailers
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of modification documents post-construction
  • Collaborate with the Loan Boarding Director to facilitate the transition to permanent loan processes
  • Review and approve disbursement trackers
  • Utilize interest-only calculators to assess interest owed on delinquent accounts
  • Leverage trend data to propose solutions that enhance processes and reduce the time from loan origination to the end of the construction phase
  • Engage in regular communication with team members and business partners
  • Develop reporting mechanisms and methodologies to monitor construction Service Level Agreements and address any deviations from established standards

Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing new construction projects
  • Familiarity with construction terminology and documentation, including placement surveys, final inspections, lien waivers, draw requests, and insurance policies
  • Proven ability to cultivate a positive work environment
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Capability to manage time constraints with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn proprietary mortgage software
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for managing external relationships

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
