">FedWriters invites highly motivated professionals to apply for a challenging role as a Document Review Specialist. This position offers an exceptional chance to contribute directly to national security outcomes by performing meticulous document review and declassification efforts at the esteemed Defense Intelligence Agency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of documents in accordance with E.O. 13526, making informed declassification determinations to support the government's mission.
- Identify agency equities and coordinate referrals of sensitive documents to the original classification authority or other relevant government agencies.
- Assist in the accessioning process of reviewed records to NARA, ensuring accurate metadata incorporation.
- During reviews, critically evaluate each record to identify appropriate metadata, enhancing the overall inventory.
Requirements
- A current TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in document classification and declassification principles.
- No less than 5 years of experience applying E.O. 13526 principles to declassification reviews.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, managing priorities effectively.
- A completed certification from the Department of Energy as a Historical Records Reviewer, specifically for identifying Restricted Data and Formerly Restricted Data in reviewed documents.
- Physical ability to lift boxes weighing approximately 25 pounds.
Work Environment
- Monday to Friday, normal business hours.
- Primarily working at government facilities in Washington, DC, and Landover, MD.
- Occasional travel within the greater DC area may be required.
Your Compensation Package
