About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at SunSource. As a Sales Professional, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and revenue through the sale of fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems, and fluid handling products to a diverse range of industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solidify and further develop existing relationships with key customers in the industrial sector, including electronic component manufacturers, chemical manufacturers, water and waste treatment facilities, metal finishing companies, pollution control companies, and life sciences organizations.
  • Identify and sell new prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
  • Build ongoing value by updating customers' knowledge of products and applications, assisting in product selection, and providing appropriate training to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare and submit a weekly sales call plan to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with the goal of maximizing exposures and achieving sales targets.
  • Use our customer relationship management (CRM) system to document all customer contact and sales activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Regularly communicate with Inside Sales, RSM, and other team members on territory sales strategy progress and problem resolution.
  • Continuously improve product and sales skills, as well as market and application knowledge, to stay ahead of the competition and meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times, representing SunSource and our values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and partners.
Requirements
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of field sales or outside sales and account management experience, with demonstrated sales acumen.
  • Previous experience within industrial sales focused on fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems, and fluid handling products is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a sales team effort.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, quick learner with ability to grasp new concepts.
  • Ability to facilitate training sessions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematics aptitude necessary (decimals, fractions, algebra).
  • MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
