Job Summary

The Dallas Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our team. As a member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory procedures, including hematology, blood bank, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and immunology.

Responsibilities

- Perform waived, moderate, and highly complex tests authorized by CLIA, Bus. & Prof. Code Section 1204.
- Adhere to laboratory procedures for the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient test results.
- Follow established quality control policies and procedures in documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance and either correct the problem or immediately notify your immediate supervisor, Director, or Medical Director.

Requirements

- Minimum two years of hospital laboratory work experience.
- Current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located, if such licensing is required.
- Meet one of the following requirements: be a doctor of medicine, doctor of osteopathy, or doctor of podiatric medicine licensed to practice medicine, osteopathy, or podiatry in the State in which the laboratory is located or have earned a doctoral, master's or bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.

We offer a wide range of medical services, including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, wound care, surgical services, cardiac catheterization, and imaging. We are a Certified Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and labor and delivery unit in the area. We are the only Trauma Center for 13 miles and were the first accredited Geriatric Emergency Room in Dallas County. We are a recipient of Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Awards, 15 Healthgrades Five-Star rating over the past three years.
