Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT) include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering appropriate patient care in accordance with A-EMT training.
- Ensuring safe transportation by accurately interpreting maps and identifying locations.
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and effectively communicating conditions to medical professionals.
- Documenting patient conditions, medical histories, and treatments in written reports.
- Providing necessary documentation for billing purposes.
- Maintaining the ambulance in a clean and sanitary condition while monitoring all fluid levels and gauges.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- EMT National Registry certification and/or a current state license (or pending).
- The ability to deliver medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while ensuring patient safety during transport.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment interview, including a physical examination, lifting assessment, and drug screening.
- Participation in company-provided training and driving courses.
