Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Mettler Toledo's Masstron Manufacturing Plant. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment, including a sheet metal shear, brake, saw, and machining center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet production schedules
  • Accurately enter data into the MRP system and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the production process
  • Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Assist in maintaining stock control and pulling items for orders
  • Participate in facility 5S and Lean initiatives
  • Operate fork trucks and cranes while performing daily activities safely
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to setup and operate saws, brakes, shears, and other machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation
  • Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools
  • Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes and safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations
