About the Position

The Debit and ATM Cards Analyst will serve as a critical point of contact for questions related to debit and ATM cards. This individual will be responsible for performing debit and ATM card maintenance, responding to card research requests, and analyzing monthly debit and ATM card reporting. The successful candidate will partner with internal departments to resolve debit and ATM card-related issues and assist with identifying potential fraud indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Complete daily balancing and reconciling of accounts, researching all issues and working closely with other departments to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Monitor reporting and make recommendations on reporting to generate debit and ATM card and payment fraud prevention and analysis reports, focusing on operational and fraud aspects rather than growth and performance.
  3. Assist with the development and maintenance of all debit and ATM card policies and procedures in accordance with regulations, advising and implementing appropriate changes to support debit and ATM card operations.
  4. Ensure debit and ATM card operations remain compliant with rules established by card networks and payment processors, implementing processes to stay updated with any changes and supporting business continuity initiatives.
  5. Perform research as needed related to debit and ATM card operations to resolve member and debit and ATM card performance issues, making recommendations on how to resolve and increase efficiency.
  6. Partner with internal departments and external vendors, as needed, to investigate and analyze the causes, methods, and processes of fraud activities, reviewing reporting and identifying fraud indicators.
  7. Act as the primary chargeback contact for our processor and provide information to our debit and ATM card chargeback programs.
  8. Monitor vendor efficiency and accuracy, ensuring invoicing for services rendered is accurate and identifying issues on invoicing to make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Support debit and ATM card-related initiatives, assisting with internal education and training on debit and ATM card products and related services.
  10. Take ownership for actions, decisions, and results, openly accepting feedback and demonstrating a willingness and ability to improve.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum 4-6 years' experience in financial services, payments, or card products.
  2. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  3. A strong service orientation.
  4. PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), and the Internet.
  5. Ability to function in a consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  6. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  7. Travel required on occasion.

We would also like to see:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 1-3 years' experience supporting card operations initiatives.
  3. Experience in customer service or a related field, with card services preferred.
  4. Knowledge of financial products and services.
