Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at Sizemore, Inc. in Columbia, SC. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the Security Team Members to maintain the overall security of our client facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce access control and observe, correct, and report violations of client rules and regulations.
  • Perform proactive security patrols and respond to emergency situations.
  • Complete required reports and perform other duties as required by the client and Sizemore Security Services.
  • Supervise and train Security Team Members to ensure they are equipped to handle various security situations.
  • Conduct site-specific training to orient new officers, including familiarization with senior management staff, department directors, and security policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of security or law enforcement supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or GED required; two-year associate degree or higher desired.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without restriction and maintain satisfactory physical fitness standards throughout the term of assignment.
  • Normal hearing and eyesight, with full color vision, and no fear or phobia that would prevent full performance of duties.
  • Good problem-solving skills, patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as diplomacy and professionalism when dealing with personnel.
  • Ability to operate communication equipment, including hard-wired or cellular telephone systems, two-way radios, and paging systems.
  • Ability to control vehicle and personnel access in accordance with established procedures.
Additional Job-Related Functions
  • Interviews, hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and relieves employees of duty.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as requested or directed by the client and/or Sizemore.
