Position Overview
As a vital member of the ServiceSource team, you will play a key role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through expert nutritional guidance. Our organization is dedicated to innovation and positive change, focusing on serving humanity.


Role Summary
In this position, you will act as a nutritional expert, offering tailored counseling to students, coaches, athletic trainers, support staff, and food service personnel. Your responsibilities will include evaluating dietary habits, conducting body composition assessments, and ensuring energy balance to promote optimal nutrition for athletic training, competition, and recovery.


Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Operations to create menus that meet diverse dietary needs.
2. Develop cycle menus that provide balanced nutritional value and conduct thorough nutritional analyses for both cycle and offsite menus.
3. Address dietary restrictions, allergies, and religious dietary requirements for clients.
4. Manage and assist with recipe development and management.
5. Educate staff on nutrition-related topics and create awareness programs to promote nutritional knowledge.
6. Assist in the creation and delivery of nutrition education presentations and events focusing on performance-related nutrition.
7. Ensure compliance with program policies and procedures regarding nutritional components.
8. Engage with students to provide information about daily menus, aiding them in making informed food choices.
9. Perform routine checks to verify adherence to nutritional standards and guidelines.
10. Recommend suitable pre-exercise, during, and post-exercise nutrition options for various training and competition scenarios.
11. Develop personalized meal and snack plans to support individual health and operational readiness goals.
12. Establish and maintain relationships with external organizations to stay updated on nutrition and health trends.
13. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a dietitian, preferably in a food service environment with a focus on sports nutrition and recovery.
- Knowledge of nutritional supplements and their legal, safety, quality, and efficacy considerations is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record are necessary.


Skills and Abilities
- Proficient understanding of nutrition principles and practices, particularly in relation to health and disease.
- Awareness of current public health nutrition developments and their application.
- Ability to effectively utilize educational materials for individual or group nutrition education.
- Competence in gathering, interpreting, and evaluating statistical data.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members and clients.
- Capacity to engage with a diverse community effectively.


Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this role include the ability to sit, talk, and hear, as well as stand and walk as needed. Vision capabilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, you may be exposed to varying weather conditions, and the noise level is typically quiet.
