Position Overview
As a Registered Dietitian, you will serve as a key nutritional advisor, offering tailored guidance to students, coaches, athletic trainers, support personnel, and food service teams. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating dietary habits, conducting body composition assessments, and ensuring optimal nutrition for training, competition, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine cycle menus to ensure balanced nutritional value, performing nutritional analysis for all menus prior to rollout.
  • Address dietary restrictions, allergies, and cultural needs of students and clients.
  • Oversee recipe management and assist in the creation of new recipes.
  • Engage with staff on nutrition-related topics and create awareness programs.
  • Design and present nutrition education sessions, demonstrations, or events focusing on performance nutrition.

Additional Duties
In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will:

  • Adhere to program policies to implement nutritional components effectively.
  • Provide insights for menu design, recipe creation, and product testing.
  • Be available to answer questions about daily menus, ensuring informed food choices for students.
  • Conduct routine checks to verify compliance with nutritional standards.
  • Recommend suitable pre-, during, and post-exercise nutrition options for training and competitions.
  • Assist in crafting personalized meal and snack plans to support health and operational readiness.
  • Develop marketing initiatives and nutrition awareness campaigns.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external nutrition and health organizations for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Tier 5 FBI Security Clearance.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a dietitian role, preferably in food service with a focus on sports nutrition.
  • Knowledge of nutritional supplements and their evaluation for safety and efficacy is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A solid understanding of nutrition principles and their application to health and disease.
  • Awareness of current trends in public health nutrition.
  • Ability to utilize educational materials effectively for individual or group nutrition education.
  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing statistical data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with team members and clients.
  • Capability to engage with diverse groups within the community.

Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to perform essential functions, which may include sitting, standing, and walking. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
