Job Summary and Qualifications

Surgical Technologist (Operating Room Technician)

We are currently looking for a Surgical Technologist (Operating Room Technician). In this role, you will be responsible for welcoming patients, providing comfort, and facilitating their transport to the surgical area. Once in the operating room, you will perform essential technical duties to assist in the preparation and care of surgical patients. Join our exceptional team of skilled surgical professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and organizing necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
  • Preparing sterile instrument tables for surgical interventions.
  • Assisting in patient positioning and skin preparation for surgery.
  • Maintaining sterile techniques and monitoring for potential breaches in protocol.
  • Supporting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and materials.
  • Assisting in patient monitoring throughout the surgical process.
  • Collecting equipment for cleaning and sterilization post-procedure.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory (NCCT, NBSTSA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience in a hospital-based operating room setting is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • A collaborative team-oriented approach is essential.
