Role and ResponsibilitiesIn this position, you will assist in cardiac catheterization and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will also perform emergency interventions related to catheterization, including IAB and temporary pacemaker insertions, under the guidance of credentialed specialists. Our team thrives on collaboration and support, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for patient care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating accountability in identifying patient issues, collecting accurate data, and participating in patient care in accordance with departmental standards.
- Prioritizing patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate information and staff capabilities.
- Exhibiting knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as related conditions and treatment options.
- Performing catheterization lab procedures competently.
- Assisting in data collection related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, and peripheral vascular health, and documenting findings accurately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- One year of experience in Critical Care or Cath Lab, or completion of an accredited RCVT program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within five years of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Cardiovascular Technologist or equivalent certification must be obtained within two years of employment.
