Position Overview

The Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in delivering direct and indirect patient care across various age groups within the Operating Room environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and uphold sterile surgical procedures while collaborating effectively as part of the surgical team.
  • Manage the processing of contaminated surgical instruments, ensuring thorough cleaning, sterilization, and organization of surgical trays in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation throughout all procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) intraoperative setting, with a preference for orthopedic and spine experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound and reasonable decisions.
  • Exhibit professionalism, accountability, and openness to change.
  • Capable of identifying and managing stressful situations with composure and tact.
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on detailed tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to foster positive working relationships with physicians, hospital partners, and ASC staff.
  • Consistent attendance is essential.
