Job Description

Job Title: System Administrator - TEMPEST Expert

Job Summary:

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with expertise in TEMPEST security to join our team. As a System Administrator - TEMPEST Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our communication systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate sites for TEMPEST countermeasures and review permissibility of personal portable electronic devices.
  • Review and maintain corporate policies related to TEMPEST guidelines.
  • Be the primary COMSEC custodian for the site and drive continuous improvements.
  • Communicate effectively and support safety and security principles.
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary and/or permanent solutions.
  • Provide streaming services support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with National Policy documents for pertinent TEMPEST requirements and countermeasures.
  • Experience leading COMSEC custodians through routine inventories and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with National Policy on COMSEC requirements at sites.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing Site TEMPEST plans.
  • Experience reviewing devices for applicable TEMPEST countermeasures.
  • Experience evaluating new buildings for TEMPEST countermeasures.

Pay Range: $68,105,300.00 annually.
