Role Summary:
As a Senior Chemical Engineer – Process Innovation, you will play a crucial role in defining, refining, and ensuring the integrity of our products and manufacturing methodologies.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Technology Manager, you will collaborate with various internal teams (Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.) on strategic initiatives and ongoing business support.
Your responsibilities will encompass new product development from concept to market launch, spearheading continuous improvement projects that yield cost efficiencies and sustainability benefits, and providing expert guidance that enhances Infineum's reputation as a leading specialty chemicals provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support global manufacturing operations and promote continuous enhancements in product quality, process safety, supply reliability, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
- Deliver clear and timely technical insights and solutions to internal and external stakeholders as a subject-matter expert in Driveline and VM process technologies.
- Manage and support plant trials, site approvals, raw material qualifications, process optimizations, and new product/process development initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and locations.
- Utilize external networks (universities, vendors, etc.), process improvement methodologies, and advanced R&D facilities to deliver customer-focused solutions efficiently.
- Travel as necessary to production sites, suppliers, and industry events.
- Oversee safe and effective laboratory operations as a supervisor for an R&D Technician.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Over three years of manufacturing experience in a chemical production environment, with a preference for process engineering expertise.
- Experience in project management or interdisciplinary coordination, particularly in technical services or process improvement.
- A strong sense of autonomy, ambition, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
- The capability to analyze data and apply expert judgment in problem-solving.
