Job Type: Contract to Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Color Chemist/R&D Chemist to join our team at System One Holdings, LLC. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for developing new color solvent-based lacquer formulations and optimizing existing formulations with effect pigments, pearlescent pigments, and absorption pigments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize color formulations using various pigments and chemicals
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze results to improve formulation efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth project execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 1 year of laboratory experience in developing color solvent-based lacquer formulations or color cosmetics
  • Strong understanding of chemical principles and laboratory techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in a laboratory R&D environment
  • Able to evaluate new raw materials in model formulations
  • Curious and able to think outside the box
