Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography (CT) Scan Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans on patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Operate CT scanners, ensuring optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, ensuring efficient use of CT equipment and personnel.
  • Perform Quality Assurance Tests on CT equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment performance.
  • Maintain equipment safety, performing daily Tube Warm Up and Calibrations on CT scanners.
  • Communicate equipment issues or concerns to appropriate personnel and/or report issues directly to GE service.
  • Prepare and administer contrast material, and monitor patient condition during the CT procedure.
  • Document patient information, including patient history and relevant clinical information.
  • Charge patient examinations, and prepare images and clinical information for interpretation by a radiologist.
Requirements
  • 12-24 months experience in radiology.
  • Graduate of Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2 hours of stroke education/year.
  • ARRT Registry (RT).
  • IDNS License.
  • CPR.
  • IV Certification within 3 months of date of hire.
  • CT Registration within 6 months of date of hire.
Working Conditions
  • Able to respond to requests to work on short notice.
  • Flexible in starting times to meet demand.
  • Able to transport, move, and lift patients.
  • May require rotating shifts and alternate days.
  • Exposed to infectious diseases.
  • Must take call.
  • Willing to work overtime when requested.
  • Musculoskeletal hazard from large amount of job lifting.
  • Musculoskeletal hazard from repetitive motions.
