- Imaging and Patient Care:
- Perform CT scans on patients, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the scanning process.
- Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions to ensure accurate images.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT equipment.
- Identify and report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Accurately document patient information and scan results.
- Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 12-24 months of experience in radiology or a related field.
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT Registry (RT) certification.
- Current IDNS License.
- CPR certification.
- IV Certification within 3 months of hire.
- CT Registration within 6 months of hire.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
- Stand for long periods, move patients, and lift equipment as needed.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
- May require rotating shifts, alternate days, and overtime.
