About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for CT scans, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as required, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities to radiologists.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Nuclear Medical Tech (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in CT scanning or a related field.
