Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Overnight

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor Overnight to join our team in Lenox, Iowa.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor Overnight will be responsible for supervising a maintenance shift that supports plant operations. This role requires strong people management skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to train and develop team members. The successful candidate will ensure that all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are followed and complied with uniformly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a maintenance crew to ensure efficient and effective plant operations.
  • Ensure parts requisitioning is done properly and create work orders and PMs as needed.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and troubleshoot problems with existing equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees and that all employees are following all safety policies.
  • Recognize and take steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including work orders and punch edits.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Encourage suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Schedule crew overtime and participate in organizational teams and committees.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics, or a related field, and two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems.

The successful candidate will be able to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner, recognize problem situations, and take appropriate steps to resolve them. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required is also necessary.
