Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor Overnight will be responsible for supervising a maintenance shift that supports plant operations. This role requires strong people management skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to train and develop team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a maintenance crew to ensure efficient and effective plant operations.
  • Ensure parts requisitioning is done properly and create work orders and PMs as needed.
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and troubleshoot problems with existing equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for employees and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
  • Recognize and resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on operations.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records, including work orders and punch edits.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Encourage suggestions from employees to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Schedule crew overtime and participate in organizational teams and committees.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics, or a related field, and two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to learn computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, boilers, refrigeration, preventative maintenance, plant operations, PLCs, and government safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
