Newborn Hearing Screen Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. This is a regular part-time position that requires flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct newborn hearing screens in a hospital setting, educating parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools.
- Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, as needed.
- Help confirm or reschedule outpatient appointments, follow up on equipment issues, and train new staff.
- Perform newborn hearing screens, verify insurance information, document hearing screen results, and follow protocol for timely submission of billing.
- Adhere to hospital, company, and program policies related to security, identification, infection control, and safety awareness.
- Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments, with flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.
- Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and standing and walking frequently.

The pay for this position ranges from $21.10 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.
