Position Overview:

At Vail Resorts, exceptional service is at the core of our mission, and our Food and Beverage team plays a crucial role in delivering memorable experiences. The Restaurant Team Leader is essential to the smooth operation of dining services, responsible for overseeing floor activities, assisting management with operational tasks, fostering teamwork among staff, and ensuring high standards of service and safety for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Addressing all guest inquiries in the restaurant, ensuring attentive, friendly, and professional service.
  • Managing communication through phones and radios, collaborating with team members to maintain dining areas, including setup and clearing of tables as necessary.
  • Assisting on the floor or in the kitchen as required to facilitate seamless operations.
  • Acting as a supervisor in the absence of a chef, including managing payroll and attendance records.
  • Supporting the ongoing training of staff and providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and operational standards of the restaurant and equipment through regular inspections and adherence to maintenance protocols.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in restaurant management, supervisory roles, or customer service is essential.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required.
The expected pay range for this position is competitive. Individual compensation will be determined based on various factors.
