Job Summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pharmacist PRN to join our team. As a Pharmacist PRN, you will play a critical role in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and integrity prior to issuance by the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, compound, and dispense medications, ensuring accuracy and integrity prior to issuance by the pharmacy.
  • Verify accuracy and appropriateness of all completed/filled medication orders.
  • Prepares, checks, and ensures accurate preparation of sterile products by pharmacy technicians following proper aseptic and cytotoxic technique.
  • Utilize nomograms and other departmental guidelines when providing medication-related recommendations.
  • Prevent and/or resolve drug-related problems through consultations with the ordering prescriber and appropriately documents interventions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
  • One year of hospital experience preferred.
  • OR New graduate who is under contract through the Emory tuition program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY1 residency with skill set to advance to Clinical Pharmacist II.
Compensation

$64.25/hour (flat rate)

This position is eligible for shift differentials.
