Overview

At Emory Healthcare, we strive to deliver exceptional patient care through a collaborative approach. Our pharmacy team works closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless medication management.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, compound, and dispense medications with accuracy and precision.
  • Verify medication orders for correctness and appropriateness.
  • Prepares, checks, and ensures accurate preparation of sterile products by pharmacy technicians.
  • Utilize nomograms and departmental guidelines for medication-related recommendations.
  • Prevent and resolve drug-related problems through consultations with prescribers.
  • May oversee the work of pharmacy students, interns, and technicians to ensure performance standards are met.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • One year of hospital experience preferred, or new graduate under contract through the Emory tuition program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PGY1 residency with skill set to advance to Clinical Pharmacist II.
Compensation

$64.25/hour (flat rate). This position is eligible for shift differentials.
