As a MEP Superintendent, you'll play a critical role in leading our team to deliver exceptional results on complex construction projects. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, you'll oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to budget.
  • Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, providing input on performance appraisals.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues, investigating and resolving them.
  • Manage the billing process, overseeing work in place, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Coordinate with the Engineer on master coordination sets of drawings and 3D models, securing approval from architects and engineers.
  • Lead project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, and training processes, ensuring acceptance and handover of all systems.
  • Coordinate, direct, and monitor activities of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring conformance with plans, specifications, local and national codes.
  • Review project changes with the Project Engineer.
  • Keep detailed daily records of MEPS trade contractors' work progress.
  • Participate in preconstruction efforts, including constructability and logistics.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience.
  • Minimum of six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of building information modeling and its use in coordination of Mechanical and Electrical systems and other project systems.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site, exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
