About the Role

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead our construction teams in delivering high-quality projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising MEP scopes of work, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination, planning, and supervision to assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities for MEP scopes of work.
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
  • Plan and implement project schedules, ensuring all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project timeline.
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability, and coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers.
  • Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop a site logistics plan and manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project partner superintendents and supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews.
  • Conduct on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetings.
  • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members.
  • Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards and manage and track work progress and craft productivity.
  • Manage craft team member training and conduct career development discussions with foremen and craft team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
  • Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
  • Active listening skills and effective communication, including openness to diverse input and feedback.
  • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use.
  • Current driver's license.
Education
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering, or 10 years trade experience.
