Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and participating in college service activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a relevant and progressive curriculum for the Medical Assistant program.
  • Design and deliver effective learning strategies and environments, including hybrid, face-to-face, and online course delivery.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in in-service meetings, staff development training, and other activities or programs requested by the Department.
  • Assist and advise students who have problems with assignments, tests, grades, course content, career concerns, and other academic matters.
  • Maintain competencies as an instructor as aligned with the Faculty Quality Assurance System.
  • Assist students in developing work experience assignments, such as internships and work-study assignments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the Medical Assistant program.
  • Two (2) years or 4,000 hours of related work experience.
Working Conditions

This position is responsible for instruction in the Medical Assistant program at the college level. The teaching hours for a part-time instructor vary and can include day, evening, and weekend classes.
