Sr UX Researcher

The Resource Informatics Group is seeking a highly skilled Sr UX Researcher to join our UX design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting design research to inform the design process from discovery to wireframes to visual design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute research plans, methodologies, and report findings to inform design development.
  • Transform unmet user needs and business opportunities into successful product launches through user research throughout different design phases.
  • Create a best-in-class user experience for our frontline employees, helping transform unmet user needs and business opportunities into successful employee tools.
  • Work with a wide breadth of experience across multiple types of products, channels, and research methodologies.
  • Utilize usability and user experience research tools and techniques, such as field research, heuristic reviews, benchmarking, card sorts, lo-fidelity prototyping methods, etc.
  • Manage projects and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communicate research results, graphically depict data, and justify methods and approaches orally and in writing.
  • Develop strong moderation skills and methods for group facilitation and consensus building.
  • Work independently, in a team, and with or without direction to achieve goals.
  • Have 5+ years of usability research experience with multifaceted responsibilities, preferably with a mix of web and mobile experience.
  • Related experience in other fields such as human factors, interactive design, information architecture, and/or market research is a plus.
  • Experience designing wireframes and creating interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma, Axure, Invision, and Sketch.
  • Experience creating user personas and journey maps to support a user-centered design methodology.
  • Strong understanding of user interface design practices and principles is essential.
