Job Summary

Tait & Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction tasks, supervising on-site personnel and subcontractors, and ensuring the coordination of projects to enhance profitability, surpass client expectations, and deliver high-quality results meeting or exceeding industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and actively engage in all on-site activities, capturing comprehensive photo documentation for each phase.
  • Maintain a constant presence in the work area, unless temporarily relieved by an approved interim Foreman.
  • Coordinate material procurement, including gravel, concrete, etc., and document rental equipment.
  • Inspect and inventory delivered equipment/materials/parts, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Schedule and oversee inspections, liaise with inspectors, and manage subcontractor activities.
  • Conduct and document daily safety meetings, identifying and addressing potential hazards in the work area.
  • Enforce strict compliance with safety requirements for all personnel, ensuring cleanliness and security.
  • Promptly report accidents and incidents to the Project Manager or Construction Manager.
  • Manage the job schedule, addressing daily issues impacting timelines with the Construction Manager/Project Manager.
  • Ensure the project stays within allocated labor hours, consulting with the Construction Manager/Project Manager before implementing overtime. Complete and submit daily logs.
  • Provide the Project Manager with installation/operating instructions for new equipment.
  • Complete and submit warranty documents for new equipment to the Project Manager and furnish detailed as-built drawings.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial petroleum construction installation/supervision.
  • ICC UST Install/Retrofit, ICC UST Removal, ICC Service Technician, and Veeder Root certifications.
  • Strong judgment and adaptability to changing field conditions and requirements.
  • 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher course.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word).
