Biomedical Engineering Educator

Purdue University invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. This is a full-time, academic-year, non-tenure track position that may be filled at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level based on candidate qualifications and business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses from the Biomedical Engineering curriculum, including large-enrollment courses such as Introduction to Biomechanical Analysis and Bioinstrumentation and Circuit Theory, Junior Design, and Senior Design Labs.
- Contribute to ongoing course development and participate on BME Undergraduate and Graduate Curriculum Committees.
- Collaborate with other faculty to assist in course development and ensure consistency across sections offered at multiple locations.
- Supervise teams of students in Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) and Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) sections.
- Assist with other duties related to teaching and mentoring students.
- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field by the position start date.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
- Demonstrated skills in innovative pedagogical techniques and project/problem-based learning.
