Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at American Compliance Technology. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy equipment and vehicles, as well as performing industrial cleaning and remediation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment and vehicles, including hydraulic excavators, front-end loaders, skid-steers, and forklifts.
  • Perform industrial cleaning and remediation tasks, including tank cleaning, general construction, and equipment decontamination.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA and MSHA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in environmental, construction, or contracting type work preferred.
  • OSHA 40 hours training preferred.
  • Proficient operation of heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation required.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and priorities.
Working Conditions
  • Year-round outside work.
  • Extreme temperatures in heat and cold.
  • Work in confined spaces around hazardous chemicals.
  • Work at elevated heights.
  • Noisy conditions.
  • Heavy industrial equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders in heights of up to 200 feet.
  • Exposure to extreme climate, including but not limited to cold temperatures and high temperatures up to 140 degrees.
  • May be exposed to varying levels of physical activities and physical extremes such as long periods of standing, walking, crouching, and use of hands.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Negative drug screen as directed under A-C-T's Drug Free Workplace Policy.
  • Eligibility to drive under A-C-T's auto insurance policy.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
