Job Overview

Freeland Management is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Heavy Machine Spotter. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery on our construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control heavy equipment and machinery to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  • Record and report any problems, delays, or malfunctions of the equipment.
  • Work closely with operators to resolve mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance and preventive checks.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of heavy machinery.
  • Report any incidents or safety issues to the safety officers.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a heavy equipment spotting or related field is preferred.
  • A valid Department of Transportation (DOT) driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
