Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Harmons Grocery. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation in our delicatessen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package salads, entrees, soups, and hot case items to meet customer demands and maintain product freshness.
  • Receive and stock product, ensuring accurate inventory levels and pricing.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Train and mentor prep cooks to ensure seamless execution of culinary tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment, adhering to company standards for appearance and safety.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a 2-year college or technical school degree in culinary arts or a related field being an asset.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a delicatessen or similar food preparation environment is required.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

The work environment is generally safe and comfortable, with frequent exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions. The ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.
