Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Harmons Grocery. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and freshness in our delicatessen products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and package salads, entrees, soups, and hot case items to meet customer demands.
  • Receive and stock product, ensuring accurate inventory levels and product assortment.
  • Ensure the delicatessen is cleaned and sanitized daily, meeting company standards for appearance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare food for special orders and events, adhering to Harmons recipes and quality standards.
  • Train and mentor prep cooks, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a 2-year college or technical school degree is preferred; 1 year of delicatessen experience is preferred.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit is required.
  • Excellent knife skills, cooking techniques, and knowledge of food ingredients.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, perform basic math skills, and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The work environment is generally safe and comfortable, with frequent exposure to hot, cold, and wet conditions. The associate is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and reach, with the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
