Your Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Care Technician to become a vital part of our team. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience and availability for weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday). The selected candidate will work approximately 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
The Animal Care Technician will:
  • Assist the Veterinary Technician in preparing animals for medical, surgical, and dental procedures.
  • Support the Veterinary Technician in administering anesthesia and safely restraining animals for examinations and treatments.
  • Collaborate with the Veterinarian and Veterinary Technician teams to implement effective patient triage protocols.
  • Document observations and treatment plans in patient files and assist with medical treatments under supervision.
  • Provide support to the Client Service Specialist team as needed.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Weekend shift availability.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in the veterinary field.
  • Ability to properly and safely restrain animals.
  • Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and medications.
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs to waist height.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and listening skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
