As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support services to individuals in a home and community environment. This position involves working with clients across various programs, including elder care, mental health support, and assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in meaningful conversations with clients, offering companionship and support for daily living needs.
- Establish and nurture a positive and supportive relationship with participants through effective communication.
- Assist clients in achieving their recovery plan goals through guidance and teaching.
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and agency representatives through daily progress documentation.
- Provide transportation for clients to medical appointments and social activities as outlined in their recovery plans, utilizing personal or public transport.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare or direct care services, or a strong background in customer service.
- Dependable and responsible individuals with a genuine passion for assisting others.
- Possession of reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
