Laundry Technician II
The Laundry Technician II position entails the proficient and safe operation of commercial laundry machinery, along with executing various laundry-related tasks in a professional environment. Key responsibilities include managing laundry operations in sorting and drying areas, fostering teamwork, sorting, weighing, loading/unloading machines, ironing, folding, and ensuring a tidy workspace.
Employees are expected to comply with all relevant procedures, maintain regular attendance, and complete assigned tasks within designated time frames. This role collaborates closely with Laundry Technician III, Laundry Supervisor, and Regional Laundry Director, adhering to established protocols and methods without any financial obligations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to scheduled shifts.
- Assist in supervising laundry operations.
- Operate various laundry machinery including washers, presses, dryers, and ironers.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Engage in training sessions to fulfill job requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with commercial laundry processes and equipment.
- Safe handling and operation of laundry machinery.
- Efficient folding skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Effective communication skills with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Competence in following both written and verbal instructions.
- Skill in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
- Capability to operate vehicles equipped with hydraulic lift gates.
