Compassionate Caregiver Role in Transitional Care

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Transitional Care Unit at UPMC.
**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
**About the Role:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in our Transitional Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct resident care, including activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- Documenting resident care and safety checks according to procedures.
- Assisting with unit tasks like passing meal trays, responding to call lights, and transporting residents.
- Reporting equipment malfunctions and ensuring cleanliness of resident rooms and department areas.
- Performing routine tests such as weights and vital signs, and assisting with intake and output documentation.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with residents, staff, and families.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques, or long-term care experience.
- The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) licensure.
